Converting other scrap files into ScrapIt Pro files (using SIPConvert)? You can open ScrapIt Pro files by double-clicking them from the Finder, but what about files created by other applications like Apple’s Scrapbook or SmartScrap™? Well, if you decide to use ScrapIt Pro exclusively you can convert those files into files that can be double-clicked and opened by ScrapIt Pro. A utility called “SIPConvert” should be in the ScrapIt Pro package. The old files converted will still have the 255 item limit, SIPConvert only changes the file ‘Type’ and ‘Creator’ so the Finder thinks the file is a ScrapIt Pro file. You should make a copy of each file you’d like to convert and convert the copies. After opening “SIPConvert”, just select the “Convert File…” option from the “File” menu and open the file you wish to convert, that’s it! Once you've converted all your old scrap files into ScrapIt Pro files, you no longer need the SIPConvert application.
